Mercy and Michelle (the ‘M&M’ in our blog name) are known to our kids as Mrs. Shemansky and Miss Chris.  We are passionate about giving kids the tools and knowledge they need to creatively express their ideas through art.

We are located at JT Lambert Intermediate School in East Stroudsburg, Pa.  We teach 6th and 7th Grade Art.

We embrace 21st Century learning opportunities, and seek to incorporate social media and other technologies whenever it is appropriate. Using technology in the art room can enhance and expand the way our students think about their art and talk about their art.  Students who learn to express their ideas through a variety of digital platforms are better prepared for the world in which they live.

We also strive to connect with our parents and our community whenever possible- whether it is by displaying student art in our community or connecting with parents on social media. Connecting with the community through contests and exhibits allows our students to see that the work they do matters and is appreciated by people outside the 4 walls of the classroom. Keeping up with social media means that we can connect not only with our parents and students, but with artists and educators outside of our community and around the world.
